Ruby Star is designed for landscape mode.
Survive as long as possible in a 4-chamber space station under alien attack. Guard the Ruby Core β if it or you run out of HP, it's over.
CONTROLS & ABILITIES
WASD / Arrows / Swipe β Move
E / F β Carry or place the Ruby Core (pick up within 2 tiles)
SPACE β Heal nearby Ruby (if no enemies close) Β· or Teleport (if on β¦ pad)
Left-click β LASER β beam forward, pierces enemies
Hold-click β WAVE β charged ring blast (hold ~1s to auto-fire)
Shift β SPEED β brief speed burst
Q β BOMB β place first, press again to detonate. Its blast also hurts you if you're still in range (the Ruby is never damaged by it)
Right-click β BULLET β fast low-damage burst
1β4 β Select teleport destination after menu opens Β· ESC to cancel
Mobile β on-screen joystick (move) + ability buttons replace keyboard/mouse; same abilities, same cooldowns
RUBY CORE & HEALING
Carry it β movement slows but enemies only target you.
Place it β enemies can attack the ruby directly.
Stand near the ruby with no enemies close, then press SPACE to slowly heal both yourself and the Ruby Core.
STAR ENERGY β¦ & TELEPORT
Kill enemies (not meteors) and collect energy crystals to fill your star gauge. When full, your next ability is POWERED UP for extra damage or range.
Each chamber has a β¦ teleport pad at its center. Step on one and press SPACE to jump instantly between any of the 4 chambers. Opening the destination menu pauses the game β enemies, timers, and the meteorite/boss clocks all freeze until you pick a chamber or cancel.
METEORITE β
Every ~30 seconds a chamber is targeted, cycling clockwise (ALPHA β BETA β DELTA β GAMMA β repeat). You have 5 seconds to escape β watch the minimap and the warning banner! Every enemy in the struck chamber is wiped out (all boss types instead lose 75% of their max HP β dying outright if already at or below that, except the Soul Devourer who a meteor alone can never finish off below 5% HP).

ENEMIES
β NORMAL β Standard attacker. Fast and fragile.
β ARMORED β Tanky with a damage shield. Slow but hits hard. Drops more energy.
β FAST β Extremely quick and fragile. Don't let it swarm you.
β BOMBER β Self-destructs in a wide blast on arrival. Keep your distance.
β SNIPER β Long-range shot with windup telegraph. Kill it for a 5s electric chain buff.
β HEALER β Heals nearby allies. Prioritize it. Kill rewards +20 player HP.
β CHARGER β Locks on and charges at high speed. Kill rewards a speed burst.
β GHOST β Phases through walls. Semi-transparent and hard to track. Kill restores +15 ruby HP.
β SPLITTER β Splits into 2 Mini Splitters on death. Tanky stacked-box design.
β MINI SPLITTER β Spawned from Splitter death. Small and fast.
β SHIELDER β Shields the most-injured ally, halving all damage it takes. Kill grants ~2.5s invincibility.
β FIERY KING β High HP, high damage, speeds up the longer he's alive.
β SHADOW QUEEN β Teleports between chambers and leaves a decoy behind that keeps attacking.
β STORM REAPER β Fast, only hunts you (never the ruby), can seal a hallway shut to trap you.
β SOUL DEVOURER β Eats nearby enemies to grow bigger, tankier, and stronger β don't let her feast.
β FROST WARDEN β Never attacks directly. Chills her chamber (slows you and your attack speed), scatters freezing ice tiles, and shields nearby allies.
